About

As my mentor and former professor of Journalism at Columbia University, Stephen Silverman, once said “writers write”. That’s it. If you are a writer, you are writing.“ Whether for my own pursuits, such as books and features, or on behalf of clients, I write every day and I love it. My writing has been featured in Forbes, the New York TimesNew York Post, New York Daily News, Robb Report, In Style magazine, Good Housekeeping, and many others.

Among the subjects I write about, travel is my side-hustle and obsession. My most memorable travel moments include taking The Orient Express from Istanbul to Venice, diving of The Great Barrier Reef in Australia where I came eye-to-eye with a shark for the first (and hopefully only) time in my life, wine-tasting in the Douro Valley in Portugal, exploring the medieval village of Monte Carlo at sunset prior to our departure to Barcelona, and walking The Acropolis in Athens.

The New York Daily News has been publishing Conway Confidential lifestyle content for nearly a decade. ConwayConfidential.com serves as a repository for years of content, written by myself and our team of excellent contributors, and is the platform that began a long-term relationship with American Airlines and AA Asia. I served as the editor of a cable magazine and travel editor for a former Weider magazine called Looking Good Now! where, in addition to assigning articles, I developed one of my favorite articles “Lose 5 Pounds on a Walt Disney World Vacation!”

I am a five-time author and my books are as eclectic as my travels. My first book, The Beauty BUYble: The Best Beauty Products for 2007, was published by Harper Collins. The Beauty BUYble sold out of a 75,000 run and quickly became an Amazon best-seller. I then went on to write The Everything Calorie Counting Cookbook with Adams Media, a book on the hit HBO series True Blood, and two books on the hit AMC series The Walking Dead.

My books have been featured on major networks and programs including ABC News, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, and in numerous publications including People magazine, OK!USA Today and The Daily Mail UK.

I am reminded daily of the power of words. The hardest writing is brevity: short and tight descriptions, and meaningful exchanges, even through email or text. I love language and revel in a well constructed comment or quip.
